Then in November 1999 there came a major recurrence of dry rot! - but God is MUCH BIGGER than the problems and all this was taken care of during the next few months - including the redecorating! God has sent many folk to help with the restoration work over the years and this is still ongoing. Some work was voluntary, but it was mostly paid for and we are very grateful to every one of those who put their hearts into this tremendous project - but we are especially grateful to the Lord for the wonderful way that He has continued to meet every need.
CHAPTER THREE    OH NO! - DRY ROT
Following this, we were progressing nicely when DRY ROT was discovered! On close investigation this proved very extensive and many thousands of pounds were required to put it right. It was eventually done and fully paid for! Then on Christmas Eve 1997 storms damaged the roof quite badly and also blew down a chalet we had at the rear. Again the Lord miraculously provided. We then finally got the ground and first floors fully restored and functioning, praise the Lord!
Now the basement, the top floor area and other facilities including the guest rooms are well established also and we are trusting God for the grounds (where we have a holiday cottage, a bungalow, an annexe (with 4 en-suit bedrooms) and three nice self-contained and fully equipped mobile homes) to be fully landscaped.  We have re-designed the meeting hall, removing a large central pillar and thus increasing the capacity, providing a new enclosed entrance with a ramp suitable for disabled people, with wheel-chair access, and also providing disabled toilet and washroom facilities. This work is now completed and the approach path has been resurfaced with tarmac.
PRAYER & BRIDGE BUILDING
Prayer meetings also take place on  Mondays,Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The over all vision is for the Oasis to be a Christian Resource Centre for the whole Body of Christ and there is a coming together of a number of visions in the Centre. There is a Church - a resource for the area, the headquarters & administration offices of International Gospel Outreach and also of North Wales Gospel Outreach, a Centre for prayer and intercession, with a 24 hour telephone emergency prayer line, convention weekends under the auspices of IGO, (the Nehemiah Project - a permanently available Bible training correspondence course which John Levy now sends out , wherever it is requested, anywhere in the world (this can now be conducted by e-mail), united Churches  fellowship times, where all of the time several local Churches are involved with us and a good number of people have found new life and healing through the Lord Jesus, occasional mid-week retreats and seminars, a substantial Christian Bookstall and the linked main Oasis Christian Bookshop & Tea-room next to the post office in the centre of Penmaenmawr. We have held a number of family & youth events, a local group and the Glory Folk, have each been holding conventions at the Centre every year, OM had a “Fire youth camp here, there was a Revival Convention in conjunction with 'Heartcry for Wales', and lots of prayer events and ministers' meetings. Other activities and uses of the Centre, such as away days for Church Leadership Groups and Alpha 'away days', are constantly developing. Churches, Christian Organisations and many individuals come to use the Centre, as and when it is available. Our guest accomodation is well used and is provided for a few days (or even a week or more) on  self-catering basis (catering is (or can be) provided for Seminars and special events). We thank God for the wonderful feedback we have had from many guests from around the world who have been blessed and encouraged. It is so quiet, peaceful and beautiful and is open to  all those in Christian Service who need to get away with the Lord and relax a while.                                                                                                                  Truly an OASIS.
