Wait.

Psalm 27:13-14

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage,And He shall strengthen your heart;Wait, I say, on the Lord!

I remember my Dad telling me that these are some of my Granny’s favourite verses. I also remember thinking they were pretty decent verses to pick as your favourite.

There are often times throughout our lives where our hearts feel lost, we feel like hope is too far away and everything seems dark.

But, my friends, when we are in Christ, this is never the case. Because of the goodness of God, we know we still have the victory. We can rejoice in the midst of mourning that are coming King will bring us into the land of the living. It can be tempting to search among the rubble of our lives, where there is no life left to be found, but do not search for the living among the dead. Keep going, keep finding the goodness and faithfulness of God in all situations. He is there, with you, right beside you, round about you, and He is for you.

Sometimes to be able to see the goodness of God, we must wait. Seasons come where life seems hopeless but WAIT, He will strengthen your heart. Waiting doesn’t always mean staying still or stagnant. We must keep going, searching after His goodness. We are His children and He gives us guides us into good things.

Be encouraged today, you WILL see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

How do I know this? Because His word says so. How can we achieve this? By waiting and putting full trust in the King of Kings who promises good to those that love Him.
